Hughes signs new Portsmouth deal

Richard Hughes has signed a new deal with Portsmouth.

The 29-year old signed a contract keeping him at Fratton Park until the end of the 2010/2011 season.

I'm delighted to commit my future to Pompey, a club I love," he told Portsmouth's official website.

"I've had six-and-a-half fantastic years and have been asked to extend my stay. It was an easy decision to make.

"The supporters are unbelievable and Tony Adams is a manager I want to play for. Tony deserves success here and I'm delighted to be part of his reign at the club."
