Mark Hughes is emerging as favourite for the Stoke City job.
The London Evening Standard says talks with Stoke chairman Peter Coates are expected to take place next week and the club have also been linked with Roberto Martinez, who had promised to tell Wigan owner David Whelan this week whether he is staying with the relegated club.
