QPR boss Mark Hughes is close to naming a new captain, reports West London Sport. Hughes has been considering a number of candidates to succeed Joey Barton, with the likes of Clint Hill, Anton Ferdinand and Ji-sung Park all wearing the armband so far during pre-season.
The former Wales chief plans to make an announcement when his squad return from a visit to Germany, where they will play two matches.
Hughes said: "I keep moving it around and will continue to do that for the next two games.
"I've got a mind on who will eventually have it. A lot of the guys are making good claims for it and it's good we've got leadership in the group."
