Stoke City are preparing a major clearout this summer.
The Sentinel says boss Mark Hughes could be left with plenty of room for manoeuvre in the transfer market in the next window as the number of existing players with question marks hovering over their immediate future is close to double figures.
Hughes may want another goalkeeper as back up to Jack Butland and Lee Grant as 40 year-old Shay Given is out of contract and considering retirement at the end of a hugely successful career.
Playmakers Ibrahim Afellay and Stephen Ireland are also out of contract and still with a point to prove after long-term injuries.
Marc Muniesa, an unused sub in 14 of Stoke's 25 Premier League games, confessed before Christmas to feeling restless after failing to command a regular place in his fourth season at the club.
And Philipp Wollscheid, currently on an unsuccessful season-long loan at Wolfsburg, appears to have no future at Stoke.
