New Fulham boss Mark Hughes has stated his desire to keep Mark Schwarzer and Paul Konchesky at the club. Speaking at his first press conference at Craven Cottage following his appointment to take over from new Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson, Hughes made it clear that neither player was for sale.
Australia goalkeeper Schwarzer has been consistently linked with a move to Arsenal, whilst Konchesky has also been rumoured to be interesting former coach Hodgson at Liverpool.
However, Hughes will be looking to keep the squad that reached the Europa League final last season together and continue the work Hodgson has done to progress the club.
"It's not my intention to allow the better players at Fulham Football Club to leave the club," said Hughes.
"I would suggest the two players mentioned would still be Fulham players by the end of the window."
