QPR boss Mark Hughes is determined to prove himself the best man for the job.
Hughes has dismissed the idea Harry Redknapp would do a better job.
He said: "I know how well I work. I know what my staff do on a daily basis. I'd put my ability up against anyone.
"I'm very positive about where we are, I understand the reasons why we are where we are.
"The focus on us is not going to go away until we start winning games, we understand that - it's the football world.
"We're at the bottom but feel once we get players back and have continuity of selection then we can produce good football. It's only a matter of time."
