Blackburn Rovers boss Mark Hughes was delighted to see Morten Gamst Pedersen get on the scoresheet in Sunday's victory over Bolton Wanderers.

Hughes said: "It was important for Morten because confidence-wise he has been a little bit low. He took his goal really well and it was a good performance by him."

And Pedersen admitted his close-range goal deep in injury time might prove to be just what he needed in order to put his struggle behind him and regain top form.

Pedersen said: "In the league it has been a while and it's always good to score, especially when we managed to put in a good performance as a team as well.

"I've hit almost everything - the crossbar, the post, people. But today I hit the target and it's a good feeling. Hopefully I can get a few more now."
