Blackburn Rovers are handing manager Mark Hughes a pay-hike.
The ex-Manchester United legend, who arrived at Ewood Park in 2004, still has two years left on a reported £26,000-a-week package.
Rovers will hasten the process after Hughes' admission last week that he was flattered at being linked with the Tottenham vacancy before Juande Ramos was rapidly installed.
An Ewood source said: "A contract review was on the radar but the Spurs speculation focused a few minds."
