Blackburn Rovers boss Mark Hughes says the key to Manchester United's success this season has been their defence.

After Saturday's 1-1 draw, United legend Hughes said: "The key this year has been their back four. When you see goals scored, Rio Ferdinand is always there celebrating. He wants to show that he is excited by what is happening.

"He drags people along with him and I have been really impressed by him. He is a lot more focused than he used to be when he first burst on to the scene. He is an exceptional football player."
