Aaron Hughes had no doubts signing his new contract with Fulham.

Brede Hangeland and Hughes have both committed their futures to the club with new contracts and Roy Hodgson is set to join them when the paperwork comes back from the lawyers.

"I hope there is more success here," Hughes said. "I've enjoyed my time and was hoping we could get something sorted, that both parties could come to an agreement and be happy with it.

"I think the future is going to be good, keeping the likes of Brede and hopefully the manager will stay on for another couple of years.

"We have a lot of good players here, I'm not saying we're going to be pushing up the league every year but we can be a good, solid Premier League team. It would be nice to be part of that."
