Hughes doesn't want Stoke players criticising previous regime

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes doesn't want his players criticising the previous regime.

Kenwyne Jones has made it clear his frustration under former manager Tony Pulis.

"We don't need to really go there," Hughes told The Sentinel. "Kenwyne is an honest boy and he was just giving an opinion to a question asked of him."

Actually, he wasn't, for he had simply been asked about life under Hughes, not under Pulis ... not that his current manager was to know that.

Hughes added: "Kenwyne is enjoying his work at the moment and I think it's probably best he accepts what's happened now.

"Tony did a great job, but now I'm here and maybe we are doing things a bit differently, which suits some players more than in the past."
