Blackburn Rovers boss Mark Hughes was delighted to give Steven Reid a cameo in Sunday's 2-2 draw with Fulham.

Republic of Ireland midfielder Reid made a late substitution appearance following 15 months out with back, knee and hamstring injuries.

"Getting Steven Reid on the pitch was a real positive," said Hughes. "It was fantastic for him. The dressing room was really buoyant after the match because of his comeback."
