Hughes delighted with Bojan connection to Stoke fans

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes is delighted with the impact of Bojan Krkic.

Bojan's decision to join a Stoke City, after a career previously encompassing European heavyweights like Barca, AC Milan, AS Roma and Ajax, is crucial to both his rebirth and his popularity.

Making a mark at a lesser-renowned club was one of the manager's sales pitches, after all, when enticing him to the Potteries last summer.

"When you make your mark and affect people by what you do, and achieve things they haven't done before, then you are remembered," Hughes told The Sentinel.

"There's a lot of players who will be rich young men, but make no mark in the game."

And Hughes has detected an evident synergy between player and supporters, not least after scoring last week's winner at Leicester.

"You saw the reaction after his goal. It's great he can walk over and enjoy the moment."
