Mark Hughes believes his young England players are capable of getting back in the national team.

The likes of James Ward-Prowse, Ryan Bertrand and Alex McCarthy have previous experience with the national team.

And their manager believes that each of them can cement an England place if they play well enough at club level.

"Not for this one," he said to the Daily Echo when asked if all the players could be in the frame for a national team call up.

"The focus for them is getting points on the board for Southampton and to make sure we are in a strong position leading into the break and to continue to play well for the next few weeks.

"I think if they do that then any recognition they get will come from that."
