Fulham defender Aaron Hughes is delighted for Jimmy Bullard after his goal scoring performance in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Manchester City.

Hughes said: "Even if you don't know Jim, you realise he works hard, always shows up for the ball and can score.

"There's a character in every team. He puts smiles on people's faces and does silly things. It's beneficial to smile and he does that. He lifts the mood.

"And it transfers on to the pitch. You see him, bubbly, bouncing around looking for the ball."
