Mark Hughes will bring in his own backroom team at QPR.
The London Evening Standard says Hughes, who has only finished outside the top half of the top flight once in his managerial career, will be joined at the club by assistant manager Mark Bowen, first-team coach Eddie Niedzwiecki and goalkeeping coach Kevin Hitchcock.
QPR want to sign up to five players this month and had bids for Samba and Andy Johnson, who have both worked under Hughes, turned down last week.
Hughes is expected to be given between £20-30million to spend and will hope to make some signings before Sunday's game at Newcastle.
