Manchester City boss Mark Hughes has again spoken of Ched Evans' prospects of making a Premiership breakthrough this season.

He told City's website: "I will always try to encourage young players, I have always tried to do that in my management career. Ched Evans is worth mentioning again because he has had a very impressive pre-season.

"This can happen at this stage, these guys have got to train well and play well. When the opportunity presents itself they have to catch my eye, so there are chances for everybody."
