Hughes admits Stoke frustration in winter market

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes admits frustration with their winter market campaign.

He admitted he was frustrated at the club's failure to land a big target so far in the transfer window.

"There was a point early in the window where we thought there was the possibility of doing our business quite early," he stated, "but that hasn't panned out and we have missed out on a number.

"We've probably been misled on others as well in terms of the information we are getting and the plans for certain players, but that happens.

"We have to shrug our shoulders and move on, making sure that at the end of the window we are stronger than we were at the beginning.

"If we can do that it will have been a good window."
