Tom Huddlestone has described Tottenham's flirtation with relegation as "shocking".
The England U21 midfielder told the Spurs website: "When you're winning games, everybody's happy and the banter around the dressing room is good and you always enjoy coming into training.
"When things are not going right on the pitch on matchdays, it's disappointing, and that can make it hard to come into training some days.
"Considering the reinforcements that were made during that summer, we were expecting a decent season - but it was a shocking start really.
"But I think the experience brought us closer together as a squad, and during the middle of the season and towards the end of it, we showed that we fight for each other."
