Tom Huddlestone has no regrets swapping Tottenham for Hull City.
Although his departure from White Hart Lane was inevitable, eyebrows were raised when Huddlestone chose Hull.
Huddlestone told the Daily Mail: "I spoke to Steve Bruce and after that it was a fairly easy decision. I liked what he had to say about my role in the team so it was a simple decision.
"I am playing regularly in a team that believes in playing the right way. I have always believed in myself.
"Everyone wants to play. Anyone who has had a long term injury like myself, you count your blessings. When you are fit and training every day you want to play at the weekend. If that is not the case you train harder or move on and prove yourself elsewhere like I have.
"I spoke to Steve Bruce and he had a lot of belief in me. He told me the role he wanted me to play in the team and hopefully I have implemented what he wants. We are picking up good results.
"It was about playing regularly. There comes a stage in my position, you need to get into a rhythm. Then you develop an understanding. You get the match sharpness. That is the main thing."
