Huddersfield Town hope to have Mark Robins installed as manager for their FA Cup tie with Wigan Athletic.
The former Manchester United striker was given permission by League OneCoventry City to talk to Championship strugglers Huddersfield.
Huddersfield sacked Simon Grayson last month.
