Huddersfield Town gave their fans something to cheer about during the first home friendly of the upcoming season.

The Premier League side managed to defeat French giants Lyon 3-1, with Laurent Depoitre managing two goals.

Lyon are a Champions League side with a stellar reputation. But they were unable to match Huddersfield by the end of the game.

And when the home side needed to hold on during the first half, they were treated to some impressive saves from goalkeeper Ben Hamer.

Danish shot stopper Hamer joined on a free transfer this summer and is already endearing himself to the home fans.
