Huddersfield News: Cranie excited to end 7-year Premier League exile; Malone keen to face Bournemouth

Martin Cranie is set to start for Huddersfield Town against Bournemouth today.

Cranie's start will be his first in the Premier League since playing for Portsmouth in a 1-1 draw on 8 August 2007.

He told HTTV: “I'm very excited (for the game tomorrow).

“As everyone knows I haven't played any games this season and when Schindy (Christopher Schindler) was sent off last week, I kind of had an inclining that I might get a game, but I just prepared the same way I always do.

“I'm very much looking forward to the game!"

Meanwhile, teammate Scott Malone is looking forward to facing his former club.

After waiting his turn before replacing Chris Lowe at left-back, Malone is ready to seize his big top-flight chance with the Terriers.

He said: “I think you do appreciate it more when you have had to work as hard as I have to be a Premier League player.

“There are 27 games left for me to prove I can excel in this league."
