Huddersfield are launching a bid for Stoke City winger Ben Marshall.

The Mirror says Huddersfield will offer £500,000 for Marshall, whose loan spell with their promotion rivals Sheffield Wednesday runs out next month.

Wednesday manager Gary Megson is also keen to sign Marshall, 20, on a permanent deal.

The two Yorkshire teams meet at Hillsborough on Saturday in a League One promotion-race six-pointer.
