Michael Hefele is in line for a new deal at Huddersfield Town.
The Daily Mail says the Terriers are preparing to give crowd favourite Hefele a new contract amid interest from Aston Villa, Norwich City and Derby County.
The 26-year-old who joined last summer from Dynamo Dresden has impressed over the past year scoring five goals in 42 appearances and playing a key role as Huddersfield earned promotion to the top flight.
His leadership qualities have attracted interest from Championship clubs hoping he can have the same influence on their campaigns next season but David Wagner is ready to reward the 6ft 4in centre back with a new deal.
