Newly promoted Huddersfield Town have decided to promote young Ryan Schofield into their first team.
Danny Ward played a key role last season in helping Huddersfield Town earn promotion into the Premier League but the goalkeeper will not be available for the Terriers during the upcoming campaign as he has returned back to parent club Liverpool.
To replace Ward, Huddersfield boss David Wagner decided to sign Denmark international goalkeeper Jonas Lossl last month on a season-long loan from Bundesliga club Mainz and now the German manager has also elevated talented young Ryan Schofield into the first team in order to beef up his goalkeeping options.
Wagner told the club's official website about the 17-year-old's promotion: "Everyone knows that Ryan is a talented young goalkeeper.
"He will now move into the first-team changing room and train with us every day while also continuing to play games for our academy sides and this will help him develop."
