Huddersfield chasing Montpellier striker Steve Mounie

Huddersfield Town are chasing Montpellier striker Steve Mounie.

The Mirror says Huddersfield are prepared to offer a club record £11.5million to the Ligue 1 side for Mounie to boost David Wagner's attack.

Montpellier accept they will have to sell Mounie, who scored 15 goals last season.

The French club need to generate funds and hope the interest in the 22-year-old Benin international will drive up his price.

Fulham have also made contact with Montpellier and it is understood at least two other sides are tracking Mounie.
