Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner has had to end their plans to re-sign Danny Ward.

Wagner claimed his pal and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has ruled out keeper Ward returning on loan for a second season.

Wagner is now considering Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.

He said: “I have spoken with Jurgen and unfortunately he made the decision that Danny Ward has to go back to Liverpool."
