David Wagner admitted his Huddersfield Town side were outclassed by Manchester City tonight.
The Terriers crashed out of the FA Cup in the fifth-round replay on the wrong side of a 5-1 scoreline at the Etihad Stadium.
"The result was a fair reflection of the game. Congratulations to Pep and Manchester City," said Wagner, who made nine changes to his line-up.
"We were not good enough in our defensive third. We were not brave enough to play out and we allowed them to counter attack.
"Today we were second best; we were not at our best. We didn't perform today. Even if we had, it would have been difficult.
"Even though we had three good opportunities to score again, they have scored five. They were very good today."
Huddersfield will now focus on their Championship campaign which sees them sitting third on the table, eight points behind leaders Newcastle United who they host on the weekend.
