Huawei agree terms with Mexican champions Club America

Huawei has agreed a major sponsorship deal with Mexican champions Club America, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The Chinese telecoms and smartphone brand, whose global soccer activities include partnerships with the likes of Premier LeagueArsenal and French champions Paris Saint-Germain, will become a new shirt sponsor of the Liga MX side.

The financial terms of the deal were not announced, but a three-year term was confirmed.

"It's with real pride that Club America can generate confidence with big brands," said Club America chief executive Jose Romano. "At the moment it's just a business alliance, but who knows what technology they can offer us to help our players' overall game."

Zachary Jiang, the Huawei president, added: "When we asked who was the best team in Mexico, everyone said Club America."
