Hreidarsson: Dubai break ideal for Portsmouth

Hermann Hreidarsson believes Portsmouth's training camp in Dubai is just what the players needed.

He told the club's website: "It's nice for everyone to break up the season a little bit and it's good to have a change of scenery.

"Also, we're all together 24/7 so it's a great chance for the team to bond even more. It's important that we have good team spirit ahead of the final stage of the season and this trip will ensure that.

"We've never been down though, and the whole squad remain in high spirits.

"That's because we're all still confident that we will survive in the Premier League. We've lost more games than we wanted to this season, but we haven't been thrashed many times.

"We've lost a few games that we should have drawn or even won. We've played well and quite often the luck hasn't been on our side. But you need points to survive. We're aware of that and we know that only positive results will do from now until the end of the season.

"Since the new manager's been here we've looked better and we've also got points, so there's every reason to be confident."
