Howe warns Bournemouth players: We're not safe yet

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has warned his players that Premier League safety still isn't secure.

The Cherries fell 2-0 to Manchester United on Wednesday night, leaving ten points off the drop zone.

"We gave everything, we were decent for large spells," said Howe. "The energy the players gave was very high. The frustrating thing is that we got in good positions but didn't execute the final part.

"They didn't have a huge amount of chances either but took their goals well. You have to admire the quality of the opposition at times.

"We expected them to turn up and want to win, that's what they have always done. They responded to a setback and their front three caused us problems.

"In the main we defended well, it was a tough examination.

"We're not quite safe - I'm getting bored of saying it - we have three massive games left and we need to get over the line."
