Howe admits injuries would severely impact Bournemouth

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has stated that numerous injuries have negatively affected his side so far this season.

The Cherries are currently languishing in 19th place in the Premier League table following a roller coaster start to the season and Howe has stated that his side have suffered due to the fact that a number of the defenders in the squad have picked up untimely injuries.

Howe said: "By doing the maths, we don't have an abundance of options in defence. The injuries to Brad and Tyrone are really disappointing because they are players who are developing their respective careers really well.

"Brad was improving all the time through the training but the international stuff is difficult for him because of the amount of travelling he has to do to hook up with Australia.

"I think that potentially played a part in his injury so that was a real body blow for him. Tyrone had an excellent pre-season and deserved his place in the team in the early stages of the season, and then the back injury put paid to the rapid progress he was making."
