Tim Howard admits Everton's players owe the fans a victory at Goodison Park today against Newcastle United.

Everton are yet to win in front of their own fans and USA goalkeeper Howard told evertonTV: "I think the manager said something about it last week. We haven't put in a performance at home that would please the crowd.

"They pay good money to come to the game and they have supported Everton all their lives and they deserve more from us and we are going to try and put things right.

"Home form is what solidifies you in this league so we are going tot try and put that right. We want to celebrate goals and victories as much as the supporters do so hopefully we are all pulling in the same direction."
