Chelsea skipper John Terry admits a spell at Manchester United with a couple of legends set him up for a career as a centre-half.
Terry revealed to chelseafc.com: "I met (Steve) Bruce and (Gary) Pallister when I was 13, 14 and got invited to Man United.
"I had lunch with them before a big game. To have those experiences as a kid, it's something I take into my own game when I see fans in the street or after the game. I make sure I've always got time to sign autographs and have photos, because I always remember those memories and photos that I've still got at home today.
"It's important that modern players take time for their fans, and give as much time as possible."
