Houston's Holden offered deal at Blackburn Rovers

Houston Dynamo midfielder Stuart Holden has reportedly been offered a deal with English Premier League club Blackburn Rovers. The Scottish-born USA international has been linked with a move away from MLS since the end of the 2009 season and reports have now surfaced that the Rovers want him on a four-year deal.

Holden has attracted plenty of interest with rumours linking him with a move to Scottish clubs Aberdeen and Rangers as well as elsewhere in the UK and it was also stated that MLS commissioner Don Garber offered him a massive salary increase to stay in the US.

It is believed Holden wants to ensure he makes the right move as the World Cup year approaches but it is unsure where he will end up and news from England that Rovers boss Sam Allardyce needs to sell before he buys may make a shift to the Premier League a bit tricky.
