Houston react to racial abuse against DC United keeper Crayton

American Soccer News is reporting that DC United keeper Louis Crayton was subjected to racial abuse after the game against Houston Dynamo. Witnesses said Crayton did not take too kindly to the slur, and jumped the metal barrier separating players from spectators. Fortunately, security was on the scene and Crayton and the spectator were separated.

Houston Dynamo media relations released the following statement Sunday night:

"After Sunday night's match between the Houston Dynamo and D.C. United at Robertson Stadium, an incident occurred outside the D.C. United locker room in which a Dynamo fan used derogatory language toward a D.C. United player as he was entering the locker room.

"Authorities on the scene immediately escorted the individual off the premises. The Dynamo have identified the fan and banned the person from attending Dynamo games indefinitely.

"The Dynamo have informed Major League Soccer of the incident and the identity of the individual, and further actions may be taken."
