Houston Dynamo sign draft pair Sherrod, Lisch

Houston Dynamo have signed recent draft selections Mark Sherrod and Michael Lisch.

The pair were picked up by the Dynamo in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft and have now been signed to professional contracts with the Texan club.

20-year old forward Sherrod was taken with pick number 32 in the draft following a successful four-year spell with the University of Memphis where he holds a school record for 19 goals in a season.

Sherrod was named Conference USA Player of the Year in 2011, was an All-American Athletic Conference selection in 2013 and was named Conference USA Offensive Player of the Year in 2012 .

23-year old goalkeeper Lisch becomes a Dynamo player after spending last year with the University of New Mexico following three seasons with Wake Forest University where he earned Academic All-ACC honors in 2012.
