Houston Dynamo's Ching making good progress

Houston Dynamo forward Brian Ching could be back in action much quicker than first expected after badly injuring a hamstring. Just two weeks after the injury, the USA World Cup hopeful, was back on the pitch performing light duties and is feeling good, although he is aware he still may be out for a further fortnight.

"I felt good," he said. "I know I'm not there yet, so I'm taking things still pretty slowly. But to be back out on the field and kick a ball is pretty exciting for me considering I've been going two weeks without doing that.

"I'm still limited," he added. "I still cannot swing my left leg with too much force right now. We're two weeks out. If you said I'd be running and doing all this when I first hurt it I would have been sceptical. I'm recovering pretty good. Hopefully I can continue on this rate and I'll be back sooner than I expected."
