Italian club Livorno are set to make an offer for Houston Dynamo midfielder Ricardo Clark.

But the MLS club are on the verge of offering the 26-year old a new contract according to chief Chris Canetti.

"I believe an offer (by Livorno) is forthcoming," Canetti said.

"We have had conversations on the matter (of re-signing) with Clark."

Livorno chief Aldo Spinelli is said to be very keen on Clark and is looking to add his to the squad that recently won promotion to Italy's Serie A.
