Houston Dynamo easily defeated CONCACAF champions Monterrey in a friendly on Sunday night but were disappointed with how the Mexicans handled themselves.

The 3-0 result at Robertson Stadium was marred by the fact that Monterrey had two players sent off and Dynamo midfielder Brad Davis admitted it was an embarrassing experience as it was just a charity match.

"It's very disappointing," Davis said. "It's a bit embarrassing the way they handled themselves, in all honesty.

"We're here for a charity match. It's for the fans to have a good contest, a good game. I'm sure they wanted to win. We wanted to win.

"But it happened where they ruined the game."

28,440 fans turned up to watch the match but the Monterrey players reportedly took things a bit too far with eight yellow cards in total being issued whilst Dynamo's Alan Moffatt was also sent from the pitch for picking up two bookable offences.

Monterrey coach Victor Manuel Vucetich was also sent from the touchline in the 70th minute for poor behaviour.
