Houston Dynamo, with fixture congestion to match the best in the world, continue to dominate the Western Conference with a convincing 3-1 road win against play off place rivals Colorado. With other western Conference title hopefuls Chivas USA winning earlier in the day Houston head coach Dominic Kinnear said: "It was important, if you look at the standings, whatever way the result swings, [Chivas] either creeps closer to us, or we pull away from them. We've had out-of-town travel and this and that, but we were very bright, we scored some very good goals, we gave up a goal, we responded well."

Play off home field advantage will be secured for Houston should they take the Western conference title. Houston need 6pts from four games to secure the West.
