Houston Dynamo coach Kinnear focusing on Champions League

With two CONCACAF Champions League matches due in the next two weeks, Houston Dynamo coach Dominic Kinnear is not looking at the MLS's start of the season just yet. "We are not really thinking about MLS just yet," Kinnear told mlsnet. "I think we are looking pretty good health-wise so far. Right now, all we want to do is play as many games as possible against good opponents to get us ready both mentally and physically. After that, we'll see where we're at."

Just two matches away from a possible semi-final birth Kinnear is looking to build on his team's preseason preparations.

"Right now, I think we are doing pretty good results-wise," Kinnear said. "We have a couple of wins, a couple of ties and a loss, so that is not too bad for our first couple of games. There have been a few good individual performances and the team has been going pretty good too."

Houston Dynamo entertain Atlante on 24th February in the first quarter final leg and Kinnear feels good regarding the edge to the team.

"Everyone has been very professional and has coming in ready and in shape. So far, everyone seems mentally sharp, and as always the motivation to do well is very high."
