Houston Dynamo assistant Ralston not thinking of New England rumors

Houston Dynamo assistant coach Steve Ralston insists he knows nothing about rumors linking him with the now-vacant New England Revolution head coaching position.

Following the departure of Steve Nicol earlier this week, former Revs midfielder Ralston has emerged as a genuine contender for the role but he says his mind is focused on the job at hand with the Dynamo who are preparing for their two-legged MLS Conference semi-final with Philadelphia Union which kicks off on Saturday.

"I just read it on the Internet, and that's the only thing I know," said Ralston. "The only thing I would say is I feel bad, because Steve Nicol is a great coach, and I thoroughly enjoyed playing for him all my years there.

"I enjoyed my time there," he added. "But honestly, my job now is to help this team prepare for Sunday. That's what I'm doing."
