Houston coach regrets not closing out the game against New York

Conceding a late equalizer against ten men has made Houston Dynamo head coach, Dominic Kinnear, evaluate his team's maturity. "I think we had the game well in hand and we were a bit irresponsible and immature, and we got punished for it," said Kinnear after his team's 1-1 draw in New York.

"Sometimes it happens; you kind of ease up a bit." Kinnear continued regarding his teams one man advantage.

"They had a good five-minute spell there when they were knocking the ball around, and we weren't talking enough. But halftime gave us a chance to regroup, and I thought we came out in the second half and played OK.

"I think after our goal the hearts were racing a little bit and maybe I was a bit too cavalier in keeping with the 3-5-2 and not going back to a 4-4-2 to try to close out the game."
