Orlando City are determined to push on with their pursuit of becoming a MLS expansion franchise.
The USL Pro club are in the running to gain the 20th MLS license but their plans recently took a hit when a House of Representatives bill regarding the development of a stadium in downtown Orlando was not passed.
Despite that occurring, president Phil Rawlins is confident that the Lions will become a MLS club whilst he is at the helm.
"The MLS is going to happen here in Orlando," Rawlins told a local media outlet, according to the club's official Twitter feed. "We're not going to let one hurdle deter us from bringing MLS in Orlando."
He added: "(Our aim is) to have an alternative funding plan in place by the end of May to keep on our timeframe of MLS."
