Former Aston Villa boss Gerard Houllier insists there's no plans from Red Bull to buy the club.

There was talk that Red Bull were keen to add Villa to their portfolio of football clubs, which currently includes Salzburg, New York, Leipzig and Brasil.

But Red Bull's global football director, Houllier, told the Birmingham Mail: "Red Bull does not have any intention of buying Aston Villa, not at all, so there is no truth in those rumours."
