Former Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier is impressed by the work of manager Brendan Rodgers at Anfield.
Houllier, in charge at Anfield from 1998 to 2004, is convinced Rodgers is shaping a bright future for the Kop giants after watching the 2-2 derby draw at Everton.
He said: "Brendan plays the right way and I'm pleased he's given a chance to some of the young players. Some are very good.
"Liverpool posed a major problem to Everton in changing the system in the second half and I thought Brendan was very clever. It really helped the team and in the end they probably could have won it."
Frenchman Houllier also saluted the Kop's young guns.
He said: "Raheem Sterling could be a major player. Suso, Andre Wisdom and Joe Allen are all good. The future looks bright."
