Honduran striker Bengtson to join New England Revolution

Jerry Bengtson is set to join New England Revolution according to elheraldo.hn.

The 25-year old Honduras international striker will sign a four-year deal with the Revs from homeland club Motagua.

Bengtson is looking forward to a new challenge but he has made it clear he wants to represent his country as one of three overage players at the 2012 Olympic Games.

"I am very happy that my employment is closed," he said. "I have long been waiting for this opportunity and responsibility to assume the challenge, hoping that I do very well in that league.

"I will ask permission to the coaches and managers to let me be with the national team. The Olympic interests me and I hope to go to play official matches."
