Holmesdale Fanatics say Palace boss Pardew has their support

Crystal Palace's hardcore support say manager Alan Pardew has their backing.

For today's clash with Tottenham, the loudest support for Pardew will come from Block B of the Holmesdale Road Stand, a corner of the ground that is home to the Holmesdale Fanatics.

"We do not sing the manager's name lightly," they told the London Evening Standard. "That is something that two of Pardew's predecessors - Neil Warnock and Ian Holloway - never experienced. But we feel Pardew has already earned his chant.

"He has a fine history with the club and someone who is held in great esteem from his playing days here. We see him as a great appointment.

"We hope he has a long-term plan in place, a vision for taking the club forward, rather than just being a short-term stop gap. And someone who can provide a legacy and a source of pride for everyone at our club."
